Axiom was founded by Steven Kouparitsas in 2006. Prior to this Steven was employed with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Canberra from 1995 to 2000 after which he joined Ascent Governance in 2001 before establishing Axiom. Steven has over 19 years experience in external, internal and IT audit and has extensive experience in both private and Commonwealth government sector clients. In addition to auditing, Steven has extensive experience in project assurance, major systems assurance, risk management and Government consulting assignments.
Melinda Kouparitsas joined Axiom in August 2008 after 14 years in private accounting firms including Deloitte and PwC. She has extensive experience in external, internal and IT audit and has managed major outsourced internal audits and external audits. In addition to auditing, Melinda has been involved in project management, major systems assurance activities and risk management.
